She has "IT"

(sorry for the blurry pic...flash wasn't cooperating)

So sad to say that Mercy has the flu. :( Saturday night all was normal...we trick-or-treated with a crowd of friends, had a fun time sorting candy, and all slept great. Sunday morning she woke up with 103 fever, that quickly climbed to almost 104. I assumed it was probably strep throat since Isaiah had that about a week ago. So, i took her to quick care so that they could get her started on antibiotics. But the doc surprised me when she came in and announced that it was not strep, but rather the flu. UGH! my heart sank. Most likely it is the infamous H1N1, but we won't know for sure since they aren't testing anymore.
My Dad, being the infectious disease doc that he is, quickly advised that we quarantine Mercy and ourselves and move Isaiah and Daniel to their house until she is better. I am so grateful for the option to have them stay there, but boy do i miss them! Tomorrow will be Day 4 of her being sick. I am so hoping she will feel better in the morning, but i am prepared that it might last longer. I must say that it is not as bad as i thought it would be. Her fever is no fun, but apart from that and a minor cough, she is relatively well. Perhaps this is because she had been vaccinated already and because we started Tamiflu so quickly? I am thankful though that she does not appear to be in any grave danger.
Serious props go to my mom who is taking fabulous care of my boys. She has weaned Daniel for me and moved him to whole milk and is completely loving them to pieces! they are not lacking in one bit of nurturing. What a blessing to have such helpful and involved parents!
Get better quickly little girl!!
