Hilton Head

This summer was unique in that we were able to go to the beach TWICE. In early July, we went to Amelia Island with my parents. At the end of July and first few days of August, we went with my parents to Hilton Head to meet my brother, Nathan, and his wife, Kristen while they were attending a Christian Ophthalmology Conference meeting. Kristen's parents and brother were also there so we really had a wonderful time with people that we love and rarely see! Kristen's parents, Lesia and Jeff, are very much like grandparents to our kids. They spoil them ROTTEN and my kids LOVE IT! Isaiah and Mercy clammored for their attention and Lesia and Jeff were gracious to read stories over and over and even buy little surprises in the gift shop. :)
It was a wonderful trip. Of course, it was also hard to come home to prepare for Joab to go back to school. We have loved having him home this summer and have made lots of good memories as a family!
