My husband is good at many things, but i must say i think one of his greatest gifts is leading devotions for our family that are perfect for our kids. They BEG for devotions at bedtime, and i am certain it is not a stall tactic. They really love it!
You wouldn't believe all the ways he can make the Bible come alive for kids! he has had them acting things out, searching for hidden treasure under the sofas, chanting and singing various Scripture verses, and truly delighting in God's Word. I am always amazed. On a night when Joab wasn't home and I was leading the devotions, I was even rebuked by Mercy and Isaiah for praying without getting on my knees. Isaiah's words: "Mom! when we pray we are talking to the King so we should bow down." Good job, honey. i'm thankful for your leadership.

Rebekah, reading your blog makes me feel old! I cannot believe the little girl down the street whom I used to babysit for occasionally is now married with three children. Your family is remarkably beautiful inside and out! Lots of Love to You and yours!
Rebekah, keep up the good words of affirmation. You are blessed!
