Date Night Swap

So, we have decided that we need regular date nights and, in order to save money, have worked out an agreement with 3 other families to swap babysitting for each other. Every Friday night is date night and once a month each family takes their turn keeping ALL the kids. Yep, that means one friday a month you have 7 or 8 kids to care for but the other Friday's you get to go out and have free babysitting! I think it is wonderful!
We took our turn with all the kids last Friday. It was BUSY!!! We had 7 kids under 2 1/2 and Isaiah. They all were dropped off at 5. I am thankful for my oh-so-helpful husband and his giftedness with entertaining kids. He really is great at it! We fed them all dinner, played outside, did a painting craft, bathed 3 of them, watched a movie and had popcorn, and then waited on the parents to arrive for pickup. All in all, it was a good night. And i am very much looking forward to my turn to go out this week!
