We were blessed to be able to spend a week at the beach with my parents at Amelia Island. We have found a wonderful little condo there that we love! The trip turned out to be MUCH more eventful than we had anticipated. My mom broke her wrist on our third day. She and my dad were riding bikes and hit a patch of sand. She wasn't able to clip out fast enough and went down. So, hence trip to the ER #1.
Two days later Daniel went from having a minor cold to high fever and some wheezing. Trip to ER #2. We arrived at the ER at 9pm and didn't leave till 5 AM!!! It was awful. Thankfully, they were able to treat him for double ear infections and bronchitis and send us home to the condo. Poor little guy was completely worn out! and so were his parents by the way.
The rest of the trip was great, despite a sick baby and a one-armed grandmother :) We spent many hours playing in the pool and on the beach together as a family. I wish we could do it all over again!
